Dundee Bank is proud to share the remarkable success of our solar panel initiative, which has been generating clean, renewable energy since its installation in August 2020. As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, these solar panels have significantly reduced our environmental impact while providing a sustainable energy source for our Dundee branch.

In collaboration with locally owned Boyd Jones, we installed a solar photovoltaic (PV) system on the roof of our location at 5015 Underwood Ave. Over the course of nearly three years, these solar panels have impressively generated over 43 MWh of electricity. This achievement translates to a substantial reduction in carbon emissions, equivalent to the energy consumption of approximately 49 average homes for a month.

Reflecting on the specific figures, the solar panels generated 14.27 MWh in 2020 and increased their output to 15.53 MWh in 2021. Currently, they provide a significant portion of the energy required to power our Dundee branch, amounting to 55% of its energy needs. These statistics demonstrate the positive impact of our solar panels in promoting sustainable energy practices.

We are proud of the progress we have made in our sustainability efforts. However, we recognize there is always more work to be done. Dundee Bank remains committed to exploring new opportunities and implementing innovative practices that contribute to a greener future.

Our solar panel initiative stands as a testament to the positive impact that can be achieved through collaborative efforts. As we continue our sustainability journey, we invite you to join us in creating a more environmentally responsible future.
