Our vision is that the Omaha metro is the healthiest community because every person has the opportunity to live well. Some of Live Well Omaha’s notable accomplishments include: successfully incubating B-Cycle, which is now woven into the fabric of the city; cultivating private dollars and city support for Omaha’s first 20-mile bike network; influencing healthy policy change in area organizations through the Partners for a Healthy City program with WELLCOM; as well as bringing $8M in healthy community grant funding to the Omaha metro in partnership with the Douglas County Health Department, which resulted in many sustainable healthy initiatives such as the Healthy Neighborhood Stores.
