It’s the last official holiday of summer, Labor Day! A holiday that celebrates American workers who have made our country great. We appreciate all 154.5 million of you. Dundee Bank will be closed on Monday, September 6th., in observance of Labor Day.We will be open on Saturday, September 4th from 9AM until noon for your banking needs.Thank you for a job well done. 09-02-2010 We Loved Ya, Rosenblatt!

The Omaha Royals will close out a rich baseball tradition, as the last baseball game is played at historic Rosenblatt Stadium. Expect to see close to 20,000 people and a few tears at the 7 PM finale, as Omaha salutes a great stadium. We treasure the many precious memories of great baseball, people, and tailgates. After the game, there will be fabulous fireworks honoring a fabulous ballpark. Hope to see you there.

Dundee Day is tomorrow, promising something for everyone. Start with a pancake breakfast, visit booths, march in the parade and rock out at The Sugar Free All Stars concert. Be sure to compete in the Dundee Bank Street Olympics at 1PM. The day will be filled with fun activities,festival foods, great music and dancing in the street. At 11PM it will all be over until next year.Don’t miss out!

Looking for something special to do at the end of the workday tonight?Joslyn Art Museum has a new Thursday series this summer: Late ’til 8,offering exhibits both inside their beautiful building and outside in their lush gardens. Programs are held from 5PM til 8PM. Each week promises new things to see and do. Tonight is Thursday, and after September 2nd, you’ll have to wait until next summer.

You are welcome to drop off gently used books at Dundee Bank through August 27th. The sale will be held at the library’s booth at Dundee Day 2010. Read a book, pass it on, make a difference!

Have you been by the bank and noticed our chalk board announcing The Sugar Free All Stars and The Dundee Bank Street Games that are held on Dundee Day? Neighborhood artist, Emma Mulhall, designed our board and we couldn’t be prouder. We wish her the best of luck as she leaves this week for college. Thank you Emma!

Jazz On The Green has been wonderful this year! The final performance of the season will be August 12th, remembering the works Omaha’s own Luigi Waites. Bring your blankets and picnics, and join friends and neighbors at Turner Park in Midtown Crossing at 7PM.We’ll celebrate jazz,friendship, a beautiful city and summertime. See you there!
