This morning, the begonia flower baskets made their appearance in front of the bank. What a thrill to have them back in the neighborhood. The goal is to have all 475 baskets up throughout Dundee by Mother’s Day. Thank you to all the volunteers who make this beautiful tradition possible.

Yesterday we welcomed Dundee Elementary second graders to the bank as they visited businesses on their annual “Know Your Neighborhood” tour. You may have seen them in their white t-shirts with a big red heart on front stating WE LOVE DUNDEE! They were a delight and judging by our visitors, the future looks bright. Thanks for stopping by!

Saturday we honor our wonderful planet as we celebrate Earth Day at Elmwood Park. Admission is free. There will be live music, plenty of booths, food vendors and special projects for the young and old. Everyone is encouraged to ride your bike,walk,run or carpool to the park. We love our Mother Earth.

Our beautiful spring weather has brought out the bikers. In all fairness, some of you have ridden your bikes all year in all kinds of weather. Many have admired the Dundee Bicycle in our window. It was built by Chris Halbkat who is featured in today’s Omaha World Herald. Check it out and you’ll see, bikes are big!
